IDEAL CANDIDATES: Have janitorial, porter, cleaning, messenger services, post mates, and/or food delivery experience.
POSITION SUMMARY: ENTRY LEVEL POSITION - We're seeking a Part-time (approx 16 - 30 hrs per week, there are currently NO full-time opportunities) BIKER/Porter who will be responsible for the upkeep of townhouses, brownstones, and multi-family residential apartment buildings. Candidate MUST be willing and physically able to proficiently ride a bike at night, in the sun, rain, and in warm and cold weather conditions.
TIME REQUIREMENT: P\T – Typically 3 - 6 days per week, between 6:00 PM and 12:00 AM; 4 - 8 hours per day.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must RIDE, be able to ride a bike, and make stops frequently.
- Perform routine and comprehensive maintenance of assigned properties.
Meticulously maintain curb appeal by sweeping, removing trash, and recycling following procedures.
Must be able to shovel snow (all snow-related work is regular pay plus one-half.)
Reports and responses to emergency calls for maintenance assistance.
Respond to service requests, coordinate resources, and implements the setup of a variety of maintenance-related jobs.
Report any maintenance concerns for repairs on properties to the Dispatcher.
Other responsibilities. Assume other special activities and responsibilities from time to time as directed.

Must have graduated from high school or achieved its equivalency
Must be able to perform physical activities, such as but not limited to lifting heavy items (up to 50 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing, or walking. Must be able to work safely in an environment containing caustic chemicals, cleaning materials, dust, and noise. Routinely required to operate under inclement weather conditions.
Must be able to work various shifts on weekdays, weekends, nights, and holidays
Able to work outdoors in all cold, wet, and warm weather conditions
Mandatory to work during snow season as a shoveler
Must wear a uniform and be neat, clean, and professional throughout the workday.
