- Overview:
- Big Data Hadoop Developer- ideal consultant will have 5 to 6 years of overall IT experience with 2+ years of Hadoop expertise. Requires an BA/BS degree in related field or technical institute training and 6 or more years related experience; experience on one or more platforms, and expert level experience three or more BI applications; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Key skills: 2+ years hands on development experience with Hadoop and related technologies (Cloudera, Hive, Impala, Pig, Java etc.). Experience with a variety of tools in the Hadoop space such as Solr, Kafka, and Hbase (Hbase strongly preferred) in a complex corporate IT environment. Hands on experience with large scale MPP data warehousing/data integration preferred (Teradata, Netezza, Informatica, etc.) General systems operational expertise, including understanding of systems' capacity, bottlenecks, memory, CPU, OS, storage, and networking Configuration and operation experience in security features such as Kerberos, LDAP, Active Directory, etc. Good knowledge of open source Linux configuration with strong Unix skills.
