Job description

Big Data Engineering Manager(Accenture LLP; Chicago, IL): Accenture LLP has multiple openings for a position of a Big Data Engineering Manager in Chicago, IL to gather, engineer and prepare data to help clients make smarter decisions. S/he will perform the following duties: help in a full technical discovery, spotting pain points, business and technical requirements, and "as-is" and "to-be" scenarios; assess the full technology stack of services needed in delivering data and analytic solutions, including driving operational efficiency and leveraging automation and interact with peers and managers on the client side and within Accenture; interfaces with clients across the globe and help them with their enterprise-wide business challenges in the area of Big Data, data management, business processes, KPI and reporting; architecting requirements across existing and identified capabilities to ensure appropriate leveraging of existing resources; development of new capabilities that can be immediately used, thereby decreasing cycle times; improving data capabilities and optimizing operating expenses; key liaison role with business capability groups for taking and providing direction and requirements clarity; and testing new and enhanced capabilities, prior to release into production.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
This position requires at least a bachelor's degree, or its foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Engineering (any), or in a closely related field plus 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience as a Data Engineering Consultant, Software Engineer or related IT positions including the following professional experience: 5 years of experience in designing full lifecycle global next generation solutions beginning from strategy through delivery including Data Acquisition, ELT/ETL, Metadata Management, Data Quality, MDM, and Governance for Data Warehouse / ODS/ Data Marts; 5 years of experience in 2 of the following areas: Solution/technical architecture in the cloud, Big Data/analytics/information analysis/database management in the cloud and IoT/event-driven/microservices in the cloud; 5 years of experience with solution design through delivery of the Cloud/Big Data platforms (AWS, GCP, MS Azure, Hortonworks or Databricks), Data Warehousing solutions (Teradata Vantage, Snowflake, BigQuery, Synapse or Yellowbrick), Integration tools (Informatica suite or Talend), Native technologies (Spark, Kafka, or Nifi), Data Wrangling such as Alteryx, Data Visualization tools such as Tableau, MS PowerBI or Qlik; 5 years of experience with Technology Assessments that involves the following: Scoping and delivering transformation and innovation technology advisory solutions and services. This includes work includes experience in Cloud Advisory, Enterprise Architecture, Modern IT Delivery Enablement (Agile/DevOps), Transformation Management / Complex Program Delivery, Business Case Development and Financial Assessments, Organization and Operation Design, 5g and IoT (Internet of Things), and/or Applied Intelligent / Intelligent Automation.
This position requires domestic travel approximately 50% of an average work week.
Telecommuting is permitted; needs to reside within a reasonable commuting distance from the assigned Accenture office.
