We have an immediate long-term contract opportunity with one of our key clients for a position of Big Data Developers with DevOps to work in Austin, TX

Responsibilities:

• Proficiently manage and troubleshoot Hadoop clusters, ensuring optimal performance and resolving ongoing operational issues.
• Utilize expertise in Hadoop v2, MapReduce, and HDFS for efficient data processing and storage.
• Build stream-processing systems using technologies like Storm or Spark-Streaming to process large amounts of data in real-time.
• Employ Big Data querying tools such as Pig, Hive, and Impala to extract insights from massive datasets.
• Integrate data from multiple sources using Spark to provide comprehensive analytical solutions.

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of distributed computing principles and experience managing Hadoop clusters.
• Proficiency in Hadoop v2, MapReduce, and HDFS.
• Experience building stream-processing systems using Storm or Spark-Streaming.
• Knowledge of Big Data querying tools: Pig, Hive, Impala.
• Proficiency with Spark and integrating data from various sources.
• Understanding of DevOps principles and tools: Jenkins, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes.

DevOps Exposure:

• Understanding and implementation of CI/CD pipelines in DevOps environments.
• Proficiency in Jenkins and Ansible Playbook for automation and orchestration.
• Solid knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
