Position Summary:
To model, uphold, and facilitate the school mission of being dedicated to building academic excellence, developing Christ-like character, and equipping students to serve others. To help fulfill the school vision to inspire and nurture academic growth, to equip students to think biblically and critically, to help each individual live life in a manner worthy of the Lord, demonstrating the fruit of the Spirit wherever called by God to serve, to develop our students to be leaders and influencers, and to impact our world as servants of Christ.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:
- To follow BJU Press curriculum to teach Bible classes.
- To prepare detailed weekly bible lesson plans and instructional materials
- To effectively manage classrooms and discipline procedures to provide a positive classroom environment conducive to bible study
- To communicate with parents on an "as needed" basis regarding their student's behavioral status in the bible class
- To report bible class progress to Vice Principal
- To oversee school worship team
- To teach school Worship Team class as an elective
- To oversee musical worship in all chapel, camps, retreats, and other special occasions
- To conduct pastoral counseling
- To lead and facilitate weekly small worship group student meetings
- To preach/provide biblically sound and relevant teaching of the word in both small and large group settings
- To coordinate with the Spiritual Formation team to plan and coordinate spiritual activities and events
Requirements:
1) Education - Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Biblical Studies, Divinity, Christian Ministries, Church Music, Music and Worship, or Religious Studies
2) Employment Experience – Minimum 12-month as a Bible Teacher, Worship Leader, Church Music Leader, Church Music Director, or Bible Study Leader
3)Membership in Protestant Church
4) Knowledge in Christianity, Bible, and Church Music
