The BI / Tableau Analyst is responsible working with our small BI team in building visualizations in Tableau Cloud; owning all support activities; partnering with internal executives/business users to understand our customer needs and building Business Intelligence that provides value
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Support Sr BI Analyst in the design and development of Tableau Cloud dashboards and reports.
- Demonstrate Proficiency in creating calculated fields and formulas to derive new insights from existing data.
- Collaborate with senior business intelligence developers, analysts, and business users to integrate various data sources into Tableau.
- Optimize Tableau workbooks for efficient performance, scalability, and responsiveness.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and executive stakeholders, to understand and translate data and software requirements into effective solutions.
- Designing visually appealing and user-friendly dashboards.
- Knowledge of using parameters in Tableau to create dynamic and interactive dashboards.
- Incorporating context and insights to tell a compelling data-driven story.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) from four-year college or university; and experience with Tableau Cloud (or Tableau Server) in a professional and/or an educational environment.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
2 years of Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud experience.
Experience with Tableau integrations with Netsuite and Salesforce is a major plus, but not required.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
