SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:

As a leader in networking and specialty electronics in North and South America, Sagent is looking for a motivated, self-starting BI Developer Intern as part of the Class of Summer 2024. As an intern, you can expect to demonstrate your skills, for collaboration and creative problem-solving daily. You will actively contribute to meaningful real-world projects which will be implemented during your internship. In addition to tackling practical business and technical problems, you will have access to a variety of mentors and senior leaders within the team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and develop business intelligence and reporting solutions using SQL, T-SQL, SSRS, and Power BI technologies based on business requirements.
  • Write documentation such as technical specifications, user guides, and other forms of documentation related to various IS projects.
  • Knowledge of developing windows and web solutions using C#, ASP.net and SQL server technologies is preferred.
  • Follow software development methodologies and best practices.
  • Assist in system improvements and bug fixing, Track support ticket progress, and ensure tickets are successfully implemented.
  • Other duties as assigned by appropriate Sagent leadership.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Must be pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Business Computer Information Systems
  • Minimum GPA of a 3.0
  • Knowledge of SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Power BI
  • Familiarity with C#, ASP.Net, HTML/CSS, JavaScript and IIS is plus
  • Knowledge of Visual Studio development environment is plus
  • Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well in teams
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Energetic, self-motivated interpersonal skills and communication skills with the ability to interact with various management levels.
