The Boelter Companies seeks to add an Information Technology team member in the BI Developer role. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of ETL, Reporting and Database management, preferably with a focus on the Microsoft technology stack. In this role, you should have a background in data and business analysis. You should be analytical and an excellent communicator and problem-solving skills.

Core Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with business and technical teams to develop business intelligence and analytics solutions to address business problems
• Maintain ETL scripts and data integration components using SSIS, Stored Procedures, Visual Studio, etc.
• Author and distribute reporting content using SSRS, Power BI, or Microsoft Excel
• Support and monitor system integrations
• Translate business need to technical specifications
• Collaborate with teams to integrate systems

Required Skills:

• 3-5 years of work experience in the IT, BI and/or Software Development fields
• 1-3 years of experience working with a leading BI/ETL/EDW software platform (Microsoft, Cognos, QlikView, Domo, Business Objects, Informatica, etc.); Microsoft strongly preferred
• Intermediate level knowledge of one or more of the following: SQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Microsoft Power BI
• Strong communication skills and a demonstrated ability to communicate technical solutions and business benefit to both technical and business resources
• Fundamental understanding of data warehousing, metadata management, abstraction layer and presentation layer architecture
• Understanding of development methodology and disciplines
• Microsoft SharePoint knowledge is a plus
• SAP knowledge is a plus
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing and data architecture concepts (Kimball, etc.), star schemas
• Exposure to non-SDLC methodologies, such as waterfall and agile
