Provides fast (20 minute or less round time), friendly, professional beverage service to casino guests; carries full trays on every round.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Takes drink orders, communicates with bartender, assists in the preparation of non-alcoholic drinks and presents drinks to guests
- Maintains clean and stocked workstation
- Handles money according to procedure
- Monitors guest consumption of alcohol and intervenes as needed according to guidelines
- Must project professionalism, and a consistently friendly demeanor
- Appears in publicity photos
- Promotes casino events and programs
- Works closely with others, especially Beverage Servers, bartenders, bar helpers, beverage supervisor, and casino supervisors
- Provides personalized service and uses guest name
- Resolves service problems according to guidelines
- Performs the duties of a Food Server, Cashier/Host, Coffee Bar Attendant or Bus Person as needed to include Banquet functions
- Adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies in an ethical manner and encourages others to do the same
- Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
Required
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must be able to read, write legibly, understand and speak English
- Basic mathematic proficiency
- Know or is able to learn tray service, cocktail ingredients
- Available to work required schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
- Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by Prairie Band Casino & Resort Team Member Handbook and specific Beverage Department standards A record of satisfactory performance and reliability in all prior and current employment
Preferred
6 months experience in customer service or related fieldPHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
- Must be physically mobile with reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues
- Operate in mentally and physically stressful situations
- Must be able to reach above and below the shoulder, grip small items (i.e., pens, money, garnishes), bend, and stoop while serving cocktails, stand and walk for up to four hours wearing one inch (minimum height) heels
- Physically able to use standard beverage equipment
- Able to tolerate second-hand smoke, noise, bright lights
- Able to work at a fast pace in often crowded/noisy environment Must be able to meet the level three or medium work requirements based on the Department of Labor Dictionary of Titles: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly
