The Melo Distribution Company is seeking an experienced Beverage Sales Representative to be an integral part of our dynamic team. We’re looking for an outgoing and enthusiastic person who will add value to our team with their experience and industry knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Highly skilled at prospecting, managing sales pipelines, and cultivating business relationships.
- Identify and pursue new opportunities for distribution by developing new accounts.
- Collaborating with the team to establish and develop both long and short-term growth goals and priorities.
- Prior experience with organizing and traveling to execute in-store activations.
- Give weekly progress reports and market insights to the Melo team and management.
- Give reports to the distributor sales teams with summaries, achievements, activities, marketing, and any needed follow-up assistance.
- Foster and sustain connections with managers and personnel within designated Key Accounts.
- Ensure distributors and retailers comprehend and uphold quality standards.
- Regularly visit bars, restaurants, liquor stores, convenience stores, and other retail establishments.
- Engage in beverage tastings and evaluations to ensure quality control and enhance brand knowledge.
- Represent Melo at designated festivals, events, tastings, and promotional activities.
- Conduct all brand-related business with professionalism and responsibility.
- Timely completion of all required reporting and communication tasks.
- Managing CRM software and sales tracking tools
- Perform additional duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record required.
- High School Diploma/ GED Equivalent required.
- 2+ years of Beverage Sales experience required (liquor and alcohol sales)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (Preferred)
- Proficiency in the use of a CRM
- Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to travel
