Benefits Coordinator for Entertainment Industry Labor Union

Benefits Coordinator Purpose: To assist IATSE Local 480 members with their Health, Annuity, and Pension plans through the IATSE National Benefits Fund.

Job Duties include:

• Provide the membership with pertinent information related to changes at the NBF
• Provide the membership with upcoming timelines/deadlines related to their NBF accounts
• Assist members in change of life circumstances as it relates to their NBF accounts; death/birth/marriage
• Assist members with NBF beneficiary changes
• Collaborate with office staff to address the overall needs of our membership

Skills and experience to be successful include:

• Knowledge of IATSE NBF Health Plans, Annuity & Pension plans
• Knowledge and experience with participation/eligibility/enrollment in IATSE NBF plans
• Experience working in a Labor Union or non-profit organization
• Familiarity with the working conditions of IATSE MPTV crews
• Excellent time management and organizational skills; and must be detail oriented
• Experience working collaboratively with a diverse workforce
• Willingness to obtain training(s)/skills education
• Ability to travel (minimal)

Other qualifications include:

• Proficiency with GSuite products
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
• Familiarity with alternative communication tools and technology
• Experience with data tracking and personal information privacy/protection

This position reports to the IATSE Local 480 Business Representative.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
