The Benefits Assistant: WORKS IN COLLABORATION WITH HUMAN RESOURCES AND BENEFITS OFFICE. THE BENEFITS ASSOCIATE ASSISTS WITH THE DAILY PROCESSES OF THE BENEFITS DEPARTMENT. DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO ASSISTING EMPLOYEES WITH THEIR FMLA AND LEAVE OF ABSENCE QUESTIONS, MAINTAINING SPREADSHEETS OF CURRENT LEAVES AND NOTIFYING THE DEPARTMENT MANAGERS AND PAYROLL, PROVIDING EMPLOYEE EDUCATION REGARDING THE BENEFITS PROGRAMS, HANDLING ENROLLMENT ISSUES WITH THE CARRIER AND REPORTING/TROUBLESHOOTING SYSTEM ISSUES, ASSISTING WITH DATA ENTRY FOR ENROLLMENTS & COBRA PROCESSING, RESPONDING TO EMAILS, COVERING PHONE CALLS, AND MAKING REPORTS TO HIPP REQUESTS. THIS POSITION PROVIDES ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT AND REGULAR OFFICE COVERAGE
