Job Summary:
Miller’s Insurance is a growing company who is currently looking to hire a Benefits Administrator. The Benefits Administrator position is responsible for assisting in the operations of group benefits programs (group health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, worker's compensation, life insurance). This position provides excellent customer service and designs quality benefits plans. This role can be either full-time or part-time (25 – 30) hours per week.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist group benefits department with census data entry and generating proposals through our quoting tool.
- Research employee benefits plans and vendors to identify those that present the best value.
- Build relationships with clients through proactive communications.
- Manage policy and commission details into Agency CRM.
- Coordinate transfer of data to external contacts for services, premiums and plan administration.
- Document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes.
- Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations. Ensure timeliness and accuracy of required reporting and fees.
- Coordinate daily benefits processing. Handle enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability and accident.
- Address and resolve clients’ questions and issues regarding coverage and enrollment changes.
- Provide customer service support to internal and external customers.
- Design and distribute materials for benefits orientations, open enrollment and summary plan descriptions.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Prior knowledge in the Health Benefits field a plus.
- Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products, experience with HRIS and benefits databases.
- Project and team management/leadership skills and experience.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment with associates.
- Effective planning and priority setting. Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills and a thorough knowledge of plan designs.
- Ability to understand, evaluate and make judgement on proposals.
- Knowledge of benefits contract language a plus.
- Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
