Position Title: Maintenance Shop Bench Technician
Location: Morristown, IN 46161
Shift: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
Compensation: $22 to $26 an hour DOE, plus OT.
The Bench Technician will be Maintenance Shop centered, rebuild bench focused, and use the skills they have acquired and will be taught to repair, rebuild, and restock various pieces of equipment, assemblies, and parts used by the Maintenance technical staff to maintain a running plant quickly and efficiently. Basic equipment set-up in preparation for daily production runs, local parts pick-up, delivering parts and supplies to Maintenance and Production team members on the production floor, assisting Maintenance fabrication team members with projects, and Maintenance Technicians where additional non-technical assistance may be required.
Responsibilities:
- Repair major and minor issues with equipment and buildings
- Complete maintenance and repair work orders, in a timely fashion
- Order and replace broken parts or equipment
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace
- Perform other duties, as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in maintenance or other related fields
- Familiarity with hand-held tools and equipment
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Ability to handle physical workload
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
- Capacity to work in varying environmental conditions (hot, cold, wet)
- Capability to climb ladders, bend, kneel, lie, and lift objects (up to 50 lbs) as necessary.
