Job Title: Belted Chain Assembly Technician
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Belted Chain Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in configuring tooling and assembling Belted Chain, a vital component of our conveyor systems. Your work will involve using state-of-the-art semi-automation equipment to ensure precision in every step of the assembly process, from aligning and pressing rivets to applying corrosion-preventing coatings. Successful candidates will thrive in a collaborative environment, as teamwork is essential for achieving our production goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Tooling Configuration: Configure and set up tooling and machinery for the assembly of Belted Chain components, ensuring they meet exact specifications.
Belted Chain Assembly: Utilize semi-automation equipment to efficiently and accurately assemble Belted Chains, which consist of steel links and composite belting.
Rivet Alignment and Pressing: Align and press rivets with precision to secure the steel links and composite belting, maintaining the highest standards of quality and durability.
Corrosion Prevention: Apply specialized corrosion-preventing coatings to the assembled Belted Chains, safeguarding their longevity and performance.
Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough inspections to ensure that all assembled Belted Chains meet or exceed quality standards, making necessary adjustments as required.
Teamwork: Collaborate closely with fellow technicians and team members to optimize workflow and achieve production targets. Effective communication and teamwork are essential.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe and secure working environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.
- Proven experience in a similar assembly or manufacturing role is a plus.
- Ability to operate semi-automated machinery and configure tooling.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.

TYPICAL ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Worker is subject to inside environmental conditions. May have temperature changes due to working inside a shop. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above the ambient noise level. Includes a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places. One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system or the skin: Fumes, odors, dust mists, gases or poor ventilation. There is air and or skin exposure to oils and other cutting fluids.
