Full-Time/Non-Exempt / Great Falls
Position Overview: A paraprofessional person working on a therapeutic team facilitating clients' use of mental health services
Job Duties:
- Implements instructions of designated supervisor, 110 billable hours per month
- Assists in team evaluation and treatment planning for clients
- Maintains required paperwork for assigned clients
- Assists in the development of treatment plans for families and individuals
- Provides in-home psychoeducational training for parents
- Provides in-home assistance with development of behavior management strategies
- Provides one-on-one supervision/guidance of your in home or community settings
- May co-facilitate family therapy sessions or multiple-family group therapy sessions with the TFC therapist.
- Provides transportation services to enable clients to learn and utilize community resources as needed
- Provides transportation to clients in personal vehicle if needed. Must have valid driver’s license and current vehicle insurance.
- Assists clients with development of social, organizational, vocational, and daily living skills (including but not limited to personal hygiene, menu planning, grocery shopping, laundry, housekeeping, job searching, interviewing, conflict resolution, and peer relational skills).
- Helps clients to access community resources
- Leads socialization activities for individuals and groups of clients
- Assists in therapy groups and skill classes as requested
- Maintains equipment and supplies for assigned activity
- Participates in inservice training as directed by immediate supervisor
- Other duties as assigned by management
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in human services field, plus as least one year of full-time experience serving people with mental illnesses or individuals with other educational backgrounds who, as providers, consumers, or advocates of mental health services have developed the necessary knowledge and skills (graduation from high school or GED and a combination of relevant experience and/or education equaling at least four years.)
