- Salary/Hourly Wage: $18.00 - $22.00/hour
- 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM - Thursday, Friday, Saturday & e/o Wednesday, or
- 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM - Thursday, Friday, Saturday & e/o Wednesday, or
- 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM - Sunday, Monday, Tuesday & e/o Wednesday
- The Behavioral Health Technician I (BHT) acts as an advocate for the needs and rights of individuals served by providing empathic, active listening skills, case management and support services in order to maximize the opportunity to create recovery partnerships and a recovery environment.
- The BHT also transports individuals to access community resources, as needed.

- Connects with new participants, on site or while the participant is confined or hospitalized, to obtain referral information and necessary solutions.
- Teaches recovery and life skills using recovery tools.
- Cultivates connectedness in the person's life (self, others, the environment, and to meaning and purpose).
- Assesses emergency situations, notifies supervisor of actual or potential challenges, exercises judgment in stressful conditions and responds calmly and quickly.
- Completes clinical documentation as required.
- Develops and maintains community resources for education, information and referrals appropriate to participant's needs.
- Determines a provisional diagnosis, obtains documentation of medical necessity and submits authorizations for service in a timely fashion.
- Understands and adheres to RI International compliance standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policies.
- Keeps abreast of all federal and state regulations and laws and all RI International policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
- Performs other related duties assigned.

- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Intermediate experience in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- Detailed oriented, reliable, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment.
- Must have a valid driver license and be 18 years of age.
- Must have the ability to walk, climb, stoop, reach, crawl, crouch, kneel, push, pull and lift a minimum of 20lbs.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication, with particular emphasis during telephone calls, follow-ups, and in-person correspondence.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality (HIPAA guidelines and regulations) and professionalism.

- Must be able to pass education verification check.
- Must be able to pass three-year motor vehicle report and meet minimum eligibility requirements criteria of insurance carrier (if driving is required for this position).
