ResponsibilitiesSupervise the Behavioral Health program.
- Determine, coordinate and supervise daily staffing assignments and staffing levels.
- Train, coach, and evaluate assigned staff on performance expectations. Apply progressive discipline when appropriate. Participate in hiring and termination procedures.
- Coordinate patient care with other members of the healthcare team to ensure the achievement of desired outcomes.
- Participate in direct delivery of care depending on patient census. Complete patient evaluations and treatments as needed.
- Direct, oversee, coordinate, and control the admission, customer service representatives, and case management departments in accordance with the established policies and procedures and in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, regulatory agencies, and third-party payers.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- One or more of the following required:
- Licensed Master Social Worker credentialed from the Michigan Board of Social Work obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Verified by local Credentialing Office.
- Licensed Counselor credentialed from the Michigan Board of Counseling obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Verified by local Credentialing Office.
- Licensed Psychologist credentialed from the Michigan Board of Psychology obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Verified by local Credentialing Office.
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
