What you bring to SBHG:
- High School graduate or equivalent required
- One (1) year unit clerk/secretary or clerical experience in a medical setting.
- Valid California Driver’s License and clear DMV printout
- Applicants must have attained the age of 18 years of age
How you will make a difference:
The Receptionist/Billing Clerk is responsible for insuring that the discharged chart is closed in the correct order, and completed. Greets and assists visitors and manages phone calls. Manages all charts with deficiencies by processing them to the appropriate department for correction. Files complete charts into permanent location. Pulls charts upon request. Copy charts and mail out for Releases of Information. Handles special projects at the request of Supervisor. Duties are performed under direct supervision of the Administrator.
Division/Program Overview:
- The Valley Star Crisis Walk-In Center (CWIC) is voluntary and offered on a 24/7 basis in an unlocked setting with a stay of up to 23 hours
- Rapid mental health assessment and crisis intervention
- All age groups – children, adolescents, adults, and older adults – who need immediate access to crisis mental health services.
- The center provides important services to those in need of immediate crisis intervention and stabilization
- Individuals admitted into the crisis stabilization unit will be provided with support and services to ensure their safe transition to the next level of care or back to the community
