Behavior Trainer - 1st shift: Full time - $14.35-$15.35/hr (other shifts available – up to $17.00/hr). Come join us in positively impacting the lives of some of our community’s most vulnerable residents. We are looking for caring and motivated people to support individuals with intellectual disabilities, mental illness, and other emotional, behavioral, and medical complexities. Behavior Trainer responsibilities could include – supporting sensory needs, maintaining a structured environment, building trusting relationships, coaching and supporting people who may exhibit aggressive behaviors, personal care and hygiene assistance, mentoring/teaching, going on community outings, and activities. Includes a great paid training program, Full time positions M-F 8a-4p plus overtime if you're available. Immediately hiring. EOE
Requirements for Behavior Trainer:
· Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disabilities, mental illness, and/or co-occurring diagnosis.
· Experience with verbal de-escalation strategies, setting boundaries, and working with individuals who exhibit aggressive behaviors.
· Valid High school diploma or accredited GED.
· Valid driver’s license and good driving record
· Dependable vehicle
· Good written and verbal communication skills
· Must be able to lift 50 lbs or ¼ of own body weight, whichever is less·
