Responsibilities: - Provide direct support and therapy to individuals with behavioral and developmental disorders - Implement behavior intervention plans and strategies under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) - Conduct patient assessments and collect data on behaviors and progress - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans - Use motivational interviewing techniques to engage and motivate clients - Assist with teaching daily living skills, social skills, and communication skills - Utilize research-based interventions and evidence-based practices - Incorporate art therapy techniques into sessions to promote self-expression and emotional well-being Skills: - Strong understanding of therapy techniques and principles - Knowledge of special education laws and regulations - Ability to conduct patient assessments and develop treatment plans - Proficient in motivational interviewing techniques - Familiarity with research methodologies and data collection procedures - Experience or training in art therapy is a plus - Basic coding skills for data analysis purposes - Understanding of Christian counseling principles (if applicable) - Excellent patient care skills, including empathy, active listening, and effective communication - Ability to provide direct support to individuals with behavioral needs Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
