Behavior Analyst II Overview:

  • The Behavior Analyst 2 provides applied behavior analytic services in community and clinic settings. Responsibilities for the successful candidate include: daily supervision of assigned ABA client programs, conducting behavioral assessments, individualized evidence-based behavioral intervention plan development, ongoing program evaluation, supervising and training clinicians, parent training, social skills training; problem-solving; collecting data, and writing reports.
  • The candidate will emphasize and implement positive behavior approaches and evidence-based practices. Can provide supervision to the Registered Behavior Technician and the Lead Behavior Technician.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conducting or assisting with functional and/or behavioral identification assessment.
  • Writing Evidence-based Behavioral-intervention Plans for assigned clients.
  • Providing ABA-based individual and group therapy when needed.
  • Collecting relevant data during sessions.
  • Developing treatment materials as needed.
  • Developing, revising, and monitoring client programming as needed.
  • Supervising therapy team of 8-12 therapists according to organization/BACB standards.
  • Providing BCBA supervision to employees with a contract with the organization in accordance with BACB standards.
  • Conducting corrective action supervisions as outlined in the supervisory logs.
  • Training therapy team members on correct protocol implementation of all active programs.
  • Providing individualized parent trainings.
  • Providing/developing group parent and community trainings as needed.
  • Assisting in developing and implementing group staff trainings as needed.
  • Conducting treatment planning meetings with team families.
  • Approving notes in Evolv.
  • Evaluating staff on an annual basis and new staff at 90 days.
  • Assisting in providing/developing group staff trainings as needed.
  • Maintaining appropriate organization documentation.
  • Is accessible for staff, school district & client emergencies.
  • Ensuring that employees file appropriate paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring that employee files are kept up to date and in proper order through routine audits.
  • Attending Organization, County and State meetings that may be related to the program.
  • Assisting with fundraising events for the program and/or organization.
  • Maintaining contact with parents and professionals involved with the client’s treatment directly with the focus of maintaining a high degree of program knowledge on the part of those invested in successful treatment.
  • Assisting with hiring and termination of staff members.
  • Working knowledge of Evolv and the ability to train supervisees on essential tasks in Evolv.
  • Assist in developing/implementing program research projects as needed.
  • Providing safe physical intervention in accordance to MAB skills when necessary.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree, Mississippi Licensure as a Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA), and BCBA certification. Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Two (2) years' experience working in a clinic, home, and school settings preferred. Experience providing Applied Behavior Analytic (ABA) services to individuals with Autism and related disabilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills; friendly, tactful, good negotiator, ability to influence/inspire others.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Demonstrated ability to thrive and perform in an ever-changing, fast-paced and demanding environment.
  • Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail, with a high level of accuracy in written work. Experience working in a behavioral health, human services or healthcare environment preferred.
  • Must maintain BCBA certification/licensure status at both the national and state levels. Demonstrated competence working with children and families.
  • Must demonstrate competence in writing program materials and completing reports for services provided. Computer skills required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid Mississippi driver's license, a good driving record, proof of legally appropriate auto liability insurance, and must be willing to use personal vehicle for organization business. Personal vehicle must be in good working condition and must be available on a daily basis in order to appropriately carry out job duties
