SalaryWe are looking for high-energy, positive, and charismatic Beginning Reading Teachers to help educate and motivate our students using our Sylvan methodology.
- Pre-planned lessons
- Paid training
- Flexible part-time hours / 12-15 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Teach Beginning Reading students (ages 5-10) using Sylvan program.
- Use iPads to faciliate lessons
- 3:1 student-to-teacher ratio during each hour-long session
Knowledge and Skills
- State-certified teachers with 4-year college degree preferred. Will also consider college students currently enrolled in Education/English/Writing-related majors
- A strong background in teaching language arts, phonics, phonemic awareness, and comprehension preferred
- Must have teaching/tutoring experience of at least 6 months
- Will check references
