Spend a few hours a day giggling, telling jokes, playing games and creating art with children ages 5-12. Provide quality Child Care at a local elementary school either before and/or After School. Supervise & interact with children, provide fun activities, guide positive behaviors, and create a safe environment.
Multiple positions available at elementary schools in the Kaukauna School District and Kimberly School District. Choose to work before school from 6:15 AM-8:30 AM, mid-day helping to serve lunch (4K only), After School from 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM or all of the above!
Requirements
Students who plan to pursue Early Childhood, Education, or any related field are encouraged to apply in order to gain real-world experience working with children.
Licensed school-age Child Care site follow the early childhood teacher qualifications, see below for the levels of qualifications for staff. Pay rates coincide with Registry Level/Education and whether the school age site is a licensed or non-licensed Child Care program.
Assistant Qualified Staff Require: A minimum of Introduction to Child Care Professions, and Skills and Strategies for the Child Care Teacher, 6 credits in Early Childhood Education, or equivalent. Applicants who do not obtain these courses are encouraged to apply, the Y does provide coursework to complete these requirements.
Lead Qualified Staff Require: A minimum of Introduction to Child Care Professions, and Skills and Strategies for the Child Care Teacher, 6 credits in Early Childhood Education, or equivalent. Or Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education.

- Previous experience working with children preferred, but not required.
- Ability & desire to work with children both indoors & outdoors.
