Become a sushi maker &food prep (Table Mesa)

Kikka Sushi is looking for a dependable Food Prep / Cook who can provide great customer service in the Whole Foods Market located at 

2905 Pearl St., Boulder, Colorado 80301 OR

Table Mesa at 695 S. Broadway St., Boulder, CO 80305

Full Time with benefits job works between 5am – 5pm (8 hours plus an hour unpaid meal break) with weekdays off (must work all Saturdays and Sundays). 

Part Time between 5am – 5pm (8 hours plus an hour unpaid meal break) working  Saturdays and Sundays a must plus a 3rd day.

The Food Prep / Cook will make sushi in advance and per customer's request.  No experience making sushi, no problem we will teach you!  The team member will also do prep work, prepare other Asian foods and maintain a clean and neat environment while helping customers in a fun, fast paced, exciting environment.

To thrive in this job you must show up to work on time and as scheduled, have a flexible morning and evening availability, be willing to work hard (this isn’t an easy job), be patient (it takes about 3 months to get comfortable with the job), must be willing to stick it out (not quit after a few days or weeks) and be able to work with multi-cultural and multi-lingual co-workers, some who barely speak English. 

Pay is $17.00 - $19.00 per hour, no tips, depending on sushi making experience.

Qualifications:

• Be 18 years of age or older
• Be familiar with sushi
• Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Be able and willing to work all Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
• Have flexible morning and evening availability
• Be eligible to work in the U.S.

Preferred experience:

• Working in quick service restaurants, supermarkets or fast paced environments
• Food handling experience and food handler certification
