Unique opportunity for a skilled and experienced OSP/ISP Cable Technician with a BICSI Level 2 certification or 10+ years of field experience. We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our team in the pivotal role of BCC Cutover Tech.
Objective: Cutover the main and extended demarcations from Buildings 2, 19, 27, 41, and 70 to the new Base Communication Center.
Scope:
- Develop and Execute BCC Cutover Plan, Schedule, and Strategy
- Plan and Design BCC Layout (Rack Elevation, Rack Assignment, Cable Pathway)
- Coordinate ALL LEC (Comcast, Verizon, etc.) Services
- Survey, Inventory, and Document ALL existing communication cable infrastructure
- Label and Tag each ACTIVE circuit or telephone number
- Remove and Dispose of ALL INACTIVE cross-connects and fiber patching
- Troubleshoot and Repair ANY outages caused by the survey
- Provide redlines and as-builts for ALL completed Work
Requirements
- Qualified OSP/ISP cable technician
- BICSI Level 2 certification or 10+ years field experience
- Experience with installing and troubleshooting commercial LEC services
- Flexible schedule with long working hours
