General Responsibilites: The BCBA/Curriculum Coordinator will provide oversight to#all Educational Coordinators and Lead Special Education (SPED) Teachers in the development and provision of Individualized Education Program (IEP) services, lesson plans and student progress monitoring.# The#BCBA/Curriculum Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the services specified in each student#s IEP are delivered at Melmark New England.# They/them must have knowledge of Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and Alternate Assessments.# They/them also assists with other administrative projects as needed.#May serve as the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education#s Educational Administrator for Melmark New England. Basic Qualifications: Education/Training:#Minimum of a Master#s Degree in Education or Special Education. Certifications/Licensure:#Supervisor of Special Education and Teacher Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Preference given to individuals who are also Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) at the Master#s level or board-eligible. Must meet the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) requirements for Educational Administrator. A valid US driver#s license and a minimum age of twenty-one (21) years old.

Must be capable of attaining approved Melmark driver status. Must meet Massachusetts Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) background check requirements. Successful completion of employer provided certification in CPR, First Aid, Crisis Intervention, and Melmark#s Orientation Program and New Hire Onsite training program.

Skill(s):#Must demonstrate strong reading, written and oral language skills. Strong teaching skills with emphasis on students who are emotionally, behaviorally, physically and/or developmentally challenged. Experience or interest in the principles and application of Applied Behavior Analysis, curriculum and special education (Autism Spectrum Disorders).

Strong interpersonal skills are required. Experience:#Prefer at least five (5) years experience in teaching, curriculum development and supervisory experience in a special education setting. Advanced skills in educational and clinical services will be required in this role.

Interrelationships:#Works cooperatively with all members of the multidisciplinary team (Nursing Services, Vocational Services, Clinical Services and Allied Health Services) to ensure that each student#s educational requirements are met.
