SUMMARY:
This position is directly responsible for the integrity of the due diligence, documentation, loan closing, loan booking and closing files for assigned customers and loans within the Business Banking portfolio. This includes ensuring the loan structure and terms conform to the credit approval and bank policies, the requirements to close are in place, and identify and appropriately mitigate exceptions. This position requires an understanding of policies and procedures as they relate to the commercial lending function.
LOCATION:
This position is 100% remote within the Bank's footprint. Employee will work full time remote outside of a WesBanco location (may occasionally attend in person meetings, although primary functions of the role are performed remotely).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accurately enters information and upload documents in workflow system, Finance Center, or other computer software utilized by the department and works with Commercial and/or Business Banking Officers, Banking Center Managers, Underwriters, Team Lead and Department Manager to ensure that all required information has been obtained. Coordinates efforts to move the loan through the loan origination process.
Prepare, orders, and reviews due diligence items such as appraisals, title commitments, flood determinations, insurance, UCC searches and other pre-closing items to identify and address any deficiencies.
Collects, prepares, and reviews appropriate data, including information obtained from internal sources as well as from other lending institutions, trade and credit associations. This includes data required to be collected from loan applicants by banking regulation.
Receives and processes documents received by the department.
Coordinates closing portfolio of BBS loans while managing sound risk and credit management practices that are consistent with the Bank's Credit Policy.
Serves as project manager to facilitate and drive the closing process for Business Banking loans.
Works closely with lending personnel and Business Banking Support to ensure compliance with Credit Policy and approved loan terms.
Make recommendations and work with BBS Closing Manager to make decisions that address risks identified and customer relationships for loans in work queue.
Addresses potential risks and adverse situations that could affect the Bank's interest and make recommendations to department officers as to the appropriate corrective actions.
Evaluates Loan Documents to ensure meeting the Bank's standards.
Reviews Loan Documents to ensure all required documents are complete and accurate.
Has the authority to release loans for closing based on an independent review of the loan approval, Loan Documentation including adequate insurance coverage, lien searches and whether or not the Loan Documents were prepared in accordance with the Bank's policies and procedures.
Determines all necessary documentation has been gathered and completed and all preconditions to closing have been met.
Ensures the appropriate approval authority has been obtained prior to closing.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Banking is a highly regulated industry and you will be expected to acquire and maintain a proficiency in the Bank's policies and procedures, and adhere to all laws, rules and regulations that are applicable to your conduct and the work you will be performing. You will also be expected to complete all assigned compliance training in a timely manner.
MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
Prior experience with LaserPro or similar Loan Documentation software a plus.
