Batting Cage Attendant

JOB TITLE: Seasonal Batting Cage Attendant

REPORTS TO: Recreation Coordinator

SALARY RANGE: $16.00 - $17.00

SUMMARY: The Batting Cage Attendant will perform the required duties at the Wellington Batting Cages. The attendant will physically stay on site interacting with the public as well as observing the Batting Cage activity during the time that the cages are open for operation to the public no matter how busy or slow the Batting Cage usage is. The hours of operation for the Batting Cages are afternoons/evenings during the week and Saturday afternoons. The position will report to the Recreation Coordinator.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

· Provide excellent customer service to those looking to purchase tokens and concessions.

· Utilize recreation software and computer equipment to service customer requests.

· Prepare cages before hours of operation and closing down at the end of operation.

· Keep Batting Cage and surrounding area clean and safe.

· Enforce Batting Cage rules and regulations.

· Performing minor equipment repairs and pitching machine adjustments.

· Keep inventory of concessions.

· Must attend mandatory training.

· Other duties as assigned

· Work cooperatively with other employees and the public.

· Support other sports and programs if absolutely needed

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

· Must pass criminal history check.

· Must pass motor vehicle records check.

· Must participate in direct deposit.

START DATE: Immediately upon successful background and motor vehicle check.

WORKING HOURS: Variable including weekday afternoons, evenings, and nights, as well as weekends, and holidays.

DURATION: This position is defined as seasonal with duties concluding dependent on weather, time of year, and funding.
