R.W. Sidley, Inc. of Thompson, OH is looking to hire an experienced or entry-level full-time Batch Plant Maintenance Worker. Our Batch Plant Maintenance Worker pays $900/week, depending on experience. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Repairs complex electrical equipment, including motors, switches, switchboards, electrical mechanisms, automated machines, controls, panels, relays, circuit breakers, communication systems and alarms.
  • Responsible for the preventive maintenance for all the equipment in the Batch Plant.
  • Order parts/supplies with approval.
  • Inspection of Alignment and excessive wear of conveyor belts.
  • Inspection of Air valves, cylinders and gates.
  • Inspection of Oil levels in all batching plant components.
  • Empty the water traps, manifolds and air tanks.
  • Examination of excessive wear of components of Batch Plant.
  • Check for air leaks or loss of air pressure.
  • Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems or repair machines.
  • Ensure that measures are followed in respect to use of equipment to keep in compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have welding and cutting torch skills to work with metal to repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment. (Applicant should be able to perform small fabricating jobs within the plant)
  • Must have a basic electrical wiring understanding to troubleshoot and repair.
  • Must be able to perform preventative maintenance such as cleaning chutes and changing dust house filter bags as needed.
  • Must adhere to company safety policies
  • Requires good communication skills and must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Able to work with management to help improve and maintain a good preventative maintenance program.
  • Needs to be self-motivated and have the ability to work alone at times in an unsupervised atmosphere.

WORK SCHEDULE

This full-time position that generally works Monday - Friday, 7:00AM to 4:00PM, with some flexibility, depending on projects.
