Batch Mixer

JOB DESCRIPTION

The mixing operator is responsible for ensuring quality products through the mixing operation of the various products following regulatory standards, ensuring the product is clean and safe to consume.

Essential Functions

1. Ability to read product formulas
2. Ability to weigh and mix raw ingredients in proper sequences
3. Ability to follow special instructions written on the process formulation forms
4. Complete all required documentation and scheduled quality checks
5. Collect required samples for the Quality Control Department
6. Ensure that all paperwork is filled out in a manner that is clear, legible, and accurate
7. Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
8. Maintain a clean and sanitary work area
9. Ability to perform detailed cleaning practices on mixing vessels, pumps, hoses and utensils
10. Ability to transfer the product to the filling lines when ready
11. Ability to communicate to all associates
12. Follow all safety rules
13. Perform other duties as necessary
14. Ability to operate a drum dumper (we can train)
15. Ability to operate a pallet jack (we can train)

Work Environment
Must be able to work in a wet clean environment. Some exposure to cleaning chemicals

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate to their fellow associates or management team members. The employee is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to lift 50lbs occasionally including overhead. Able to move Drums on and off pallets. Able to work in a fast-paced environment and carry a sense of urgency with the production run.
