This role actively supports the mission of the Y, a leading non-profit dedicated to community enrichment through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The Basketball Referee will be responsible for overseeing basketball games and ensuring all players are following the rules of the game while remaining safe. This position would begin in February.

The Basketball Referee will be responsible for overseeing basketball games and ensuring all players are following the rules of the game while remaining safe. This position would begin in February.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Set up appropriate equipment at least ten minutes prior to the scheduled start of the game.
- Understand and interpret the rules of basketball.
- Explain rules and violations to players when necessary.
- Communicate any problems or concerns with supervisor.
- Maintain safety of players.
- Clean up equipment prior to game.
- Experience playing the game of basketball.
- An understanding of the rules of basketball.
- Free individual membership for part-time staff and dependents up to age 12
