Bartender/Server (weekend - part time)

Cider Bite Cider House in Portland, OR is currently seeking to expand its Cider Crew. We are looking for one individual to join our crew as a server/bartender, with a primary schedule of Friday (3:45pm-10:15pm) and Saturday (12:45pm-10:15pm), and occasionally covering on a Thursday and/or Sunday.

We’re looking for an upbeat and positive individual with superior people skills and a desire to provide our customers with the best experience possible. The ideal candidate understands the importance of knowing our products and engaging our customers. We are seeking a team player that is self-motivated, dependable, punctual, and flexible, along with experience leading others.

Responsibilities

• Alcohol, food, and other retail product sales and service to customers
• Keep taproom neat and clean
• Set up, stock & clean stations
• Encourage repeat business by providing every customer with great service and a positive experience
• Abiding by state liquor control regulations, including monitoring customers to ensure they are not over served alcohol

Qualifications and Skills

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Experience with handling cash and point of sale
• Able to meet all scheduling commitments
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to work independently with little or no supervision
• People leadership experience
• Strong communication skills
• Basic math skills
• Stand comfortably for up to 9 hours a day
• Reliable means to get to and from work
• Must be able to lift at least 30 pounds

Certifications

• Oregon Food Handlers card (required by first day of work)
• OLCC Alcohol Server permit (required within 45 days of starting work)

Shifts: Afternoons, Evenings and Weekends

Salary: $15.45 to $32/hour (*This position receives tips as part of our tip pool program)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.45 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 28 per week
