Bartender and Server

JOB SUMMARY:

Provides fast and friendly beverage service to Casino guests, while following all Department Service Standards and Bar Policies, and promotion of customer programs and events.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Insures the Casino bar is stocked with all supplies and liquor. Provides fast, efficient, courteous and professional service. Adheres to department
policy on number of orders and drinks to be served at one time. Prepares drinks using accurate measurements. Rings in all prepared drinks on register, following established procedures. Accounts for assigned bank, all money received and all transactions recorded during shift. Maintains assigned station in a clean and sanitary condition in accordance with department service standards and job functions, including keeping bar area wiped down and making sure all used glassware is cleaned properly. Provides cocktail service out on the casino floor. Able to work in Snack Bar when staffing is not scheduled or on break. Monitors guest consumption of alcohol and intervenes as needed according to guidelines. Develops customer loyalty by delivering unparalleled guest interactions. Capable of handling routine customer complaints and incidents and exhibits the appropriate discretion to identify situations that require the attention of supervisory personnel. Calls a designated slot employee when needed by a guest. Well versed in the various property events and relays same to slot players. Keeps casino clean, secure, and well maintained. Responds appropriately and professionally over the radio. Understands and complies with company and departmental directives, policies and procedures. Always presents oneself as a credit to Bull Durham and encourages others to do the same. Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

Reports to work fit and ready to work on time daily as scheduled. Checks schedule daily to learn of any changes necessary to accommodate unplanned business conditions. Ability to physically maneuver throughout the casino and in assigned work area(s) in order to meet requirements of the job function as described. Ability to work standing and walking for long periods of time. Ability to reach and use frequent and repetitive arm movements while performing assigned duties. Works in an environment which may be smoky, with bright lights and high noise level. Must have knowledge or the ability to obtain knowledge of casino rules, procedures, and regulations pertaining to Casino Operations. Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays and work overtime. Must present a well-groomed and professional appearance. Ensures all customers are of legal gaming age. Must be 21 years of age. Must be able to successfully complete the TIPS program.

Stocks refrigeration units with wines and bottled beer. Replaces empty beer kegs with full ones. Slices and fruit used to garnish drinks. Washes glasses, bar, and equipment, and polishes bar fixtures. Mops floors. Removes empty bottles and trash. Mixes and prepares flavors for mixed drinks.

TEAMWORK AND VALUES:

Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team. Offers support and expertise to newer Bull Durham employees.

CUSTOMER SERVICE:

Sincerely greets, welcomes and introduces self to all guests; uses guest name to create a personalized service experience; celebrates the win, offers a warm farewell.

Promotes and generates new membership into the Sharpshooter program. Introduces the Sharpshooter Club to new players by providing guest with information regarding program services and benefits.
