Barista/Cashier

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and smoothies
- Take customer orders and process payments using a cash register or POS system
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing concerns
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee shop, including cleaning tables, counters, and equipment
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the quality and freshness of products
- Assist with food preparation, such as making sandwiches or pastries
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and smooth workflow

Skills:
- Experience using Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems
- Proficient in food preparation techniques and following recipes
- Strong cash handling skills, including the ability to accurately count money and make change
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet customer demands in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices to maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Familiarity with operating a cash register and performing retail math calculations
- Exceptional customer service skills to provide a positive experience for every customer
- Ability to handle food safely, including proper storage, handling, and disposal

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $10.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
