Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages to hotel guests in a timely and efficient manner
- Knowledge of coffee and tea brewing techniques, as well as specialty drinks
- Take and fulfill customer orders with a friendly and welcoming attitude
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the coffee bar, equipment, and seating area
- Clearly communicate with other team members to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service
- Ensure health and safety standards are followed at all times
- Maintain knowledge of current and upcoming promotions and menu offerings
- Upsell and recommend additional items to customers to enhance their experience
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to food and beverage handling and safety
- Attend all required training and meetings
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year of experience as a Barista or in a similar role
- Knowledge of coffee and tea brewing techniques and specialty drinks
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and work in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays
- Basic math and cash handling skills
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- Food Handler's card or willingness to obtain one
