After a day exploring our city, unwind at our rooftop pool oasis, enjoy the ultimate in entertainment at our Topgolf Swing Suites, indulge and pamper at The Spa and our Krigler perfumery boutique and savour flavourful dishes from Chef Partner Richard Sandoval at Toro Toro and Bayou & Bottle.BASIC PURPOSE : Serve guest needs by providing exceptional knowledge of specialty coffees as well as information regarding preparation methods and personalized service. A ssist servers throughout the meal period by providing any necessary items to guest and helping to keep dining area clean and clear . The candidate selected for this role will be expected to work two barista shifts and three Server Assistant shifts per week.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
1. Prepare and serve a selection of drip and specialty coffees from the menu while ensuring proper pouring, mixing, and blending according to established recipes and established Four Seasons Standards.
2. Confirm guest orders including any special needs or requests using the hotel’s point-of-sales system; check completed orders with the guest’s original order.
3. Service and take orders from guests seated at the bar area offering interesting, and vivid descriptions of the each item’s taste and preparation methods; maintain a working knowledge of coffee and specialty drinks.
4. Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
5. Properly and accurately close guest checks; process cash and credit card payments; properly settle voided checks or complimentary items with manager assistance.
6. Assist servers by providing water, bread and butter service, coffee and tea throughout the meal to guests, replacing silverware when necessary, clearing dirty dishes and anticipating guests’ needs before requests are made.
7. C omplete opening and closing sidework as assigned and have all tables set according to standard , check and set the breakfast station, breakdown any buffets, displays or stations between service or when needed.
8. C lear tables efficiently and quietly between guests and reset them for specific number of persons .
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
1. Serve food items and coffee in the bar area.
2. Set up complimentary coffee stations in Four Seasons Place and the Lounge.
3. Display all coffee accompaniments (sugar, cups, etc) and pastry goods.
