What You'll Do:
The Banquets Manager is responsible for leading the day-of staff for all of our events, conferences, and meetings. The Manager will partner with the Conference Services and Catering Events Sr. Manager, Conference Services Coordinator/Events Manager, Kitchen Management and Banquets Assistant Manager to assist in planning, make certain all events are staffed, facilities are set up according to the Banquet Event Order, and adjust/adapt to any changes necessary for the smooth execution of the event. The Banquets Manager will oversee the entire Banquets team and is responsible for scheduling, time and attendance, payroll, billing, purchasing orders, inventory, hiring, performance management, and department administration. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment; flexibility/adaptability, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal skills are a must. This position is located on-premises in Breckenridge, CO. Full-time, year-round position with benefits eligibility.
Position starts at $68,000/yr + DOE
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Directly oversee the Banquets department including:
- 1-2 Assistant Managers
- 2 Leads (Setup and Server)
- ~30 Banquets Servers and Bartenders
- Manage scheduling, time and attendance, and payroll
- Train, develop, and manage the performance of staff
- Partner with HR and Conference Services & Catering Events Sr. Manager to hire staff
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Act as point of contact for Banquets, Events, and Meetings
- Ensure proper set up and staffing for events
- Assist in planning for Banquets and Events
- Communicate with other departments in regards to Banquets and Events
- Inform impacted areas of disruptions
- Keep everyone updated on requests/requirements, statuses, and timelines
- Maintain inventory and supplies necessary for department
- Manage billing, purchasing orders, and financials
What You'll Bring:
- 4+ years banquets experience - preferred
- 3+ years supervisory experience - preferred
- Proficient at written and verbal communication in English - required
- ServSafe and Tips certification - preferred or ability to obtain
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite - preferred
- Valid driver's license and ability to obtain company insurance approval - required
