Job Description
Director of Banquets
We are currently looking for a creative, passionate & committed director of Banquets in charge of banquet functions & events operations within the hotel.
The Director of Banquet role is covering a wide range of areas such as organizing, planning, scheduling and ensuring flawless execution of food and beverage service for all functions & events.
Your role is to train, develop and lead your team to success ensuring optimum service for all attendees.

What you will be doing:

• Responsible for the execution of all Banquet events.
• Assists in the posting of daily room schedules and assignments.
• Ensures that the BEOs are posted for the staff daily and that staff has been given the proper direction to execute an event.
• Greets guests and oversees actual service constantly.
• Addresses guests' complaints and informs the Director of Food & Beverage and Director of Catering about appropriate corrective actions taken.
• Works closely with the Executive chef, catering team members, and key managers within the hotel
• Inspects to ensure that all safety, sanitation, energy management, preventive maintenance, and other standards are consistently met.
• Assists in managing the long-range staffing needs of the department.
• Ensures correct handling procedures to minimize china and glassware breakage and food waste.
• Assists in the planning and implementing procedures for events and banquet functions.
• Maintains appearance, upkeep, and cleanliness of all food and beverage equipment and facilities.
• Monitors and enforces employee dress codes according to policies and procedures.
• Responsible for the proper accounting and reconciliation of the Point of Sale systems and member revenues.

Qualifications
Your Experience and Skills include:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in banquet/event operations in a managerial role.
• Service focused personality is essential and previous leadership experience required
• Proven ability to build and maintain good relationships with all stakeholders
• Communicate thoughts, actions, and opportunities clearly with strong networking skills
• Ability to lead by example, believe in a strong team culture, and set the scene for high performance
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• High level of creativity.

Additional Information
Pay Range: $67,000 - $80,000 PLUS incentive on all booked events.
Schedule: Variable - Ability to work irregular hours, weekends, and evenings.
