What you will be doing:
- Monitoring and maintaining cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas
- Stocking and organizing supply carts with designated materials and equipment. Transporting to assigned function area
- Setting up rooms and function areas with designated tables, chairs, staging, dance floor, flipcharts, easels, blackboards and other equipment as specified by group requirements and in accordance with departmental standards
- Refreshing rooms as scheduled, following departmental standards
- Transporting any food and beverage trays/items in public areas to service areas
- Accommodating guest requests for additions/changes
- Delivering client packages/boxes of materials to/from scheduled function area
- Assisting with inventories as assigned
What you will bring to the table:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Previous cleaning experience, preferably in a hospitality environment
- Availability during peak operating times, ie: Weekends, Holidays and Special Events
- Knowledge/willingness to learn of various room set-ups and standard equipment involved
- Knowledge/willingness to learn of proper chemical handling and cleaning techniques
- Being able to adapt to priority changes of work flow or requirements
- Previous guest relations training
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift/transport at least 75 pounds
- Being able to compute basic arithmetic and mathematical calculations
- Ability to work effectively in stressful, high-pressure situations while maintaining composure and guest satisfaction
