Banquet Set Up Staff

The Commonwealth Club is a private “city club” in downtown Richmond, VA. The Club’s legacy is rooted in its reputation for impeccable, gracious service, and an outstanding culinary program. We are looking for full and part-time Set Up Staff with at least 1 year in hospitality who are accustomed to providing a high level of service. Our staff are part of a team dedicated to excellence in customer service. They have a strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.

Duties:
- Set up banquet rooms and event spaces according to the specifications provided
- Arrange tables, chairs, linens, and other furniture and decorations as required

- Work with all banquet equipment to include flatware, china, glassware and service pieces needed for each event.
- Ensure all equipment and supplies are properly stocked and ready for use
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas before, during, and after events
- Collaborate with event planners and other staff to ensure smooth execution of events

- Ensure day to day operation expectations of the Club are met, including loading/unloading trucks, replenishing supplies and other cleaning duties.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in food service, culinary, or hospitality industry preferred

- Clean cut appearance suitable for a traditional work environment

- Reliable transportation and ability to consistently report for work on time
- Familiarity with hotel or catering operations is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and carry heavy items as required
