Job overview

A Banquet Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the set-up and clean-up of food and beverage during banquet functions in the hotels continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service.

Your day-to-day

• Oversee the planning, preparation, and execution of events in the absence of the Banquet Chef including, but not limited to, breakfast, coffee breaks, luncheons, dinners, cocktail receptions, etc.
• Responsible for training and supervising cooks and kitchen stewards to ensure quality service and product quality.
• Ability to replicate the taste, presentation, and garnishments of dishes and translate this ability to other kitchen staff.
• Regularly maintain work stations and coolers to ensure their organization and cleanliness prior to event set-up.
• Monitoring the inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Inspect food for quality and presentation prior to serving. Keep open communication with the kitchen staff, informing them of any changes or special instructions.
• Assist with and supervise all daily cleaning, in addition to weekly and monthly deep cleaning projects.
• Support other areas or roles when necessary.
• Assist in completing monthly inventory and efficiently organize kitchen items for accurate inventory reports.
• Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times.
• Contributes to a positive work environment with a productive workflow.
• Maintain regular attendance in compliance with LodgeWorks standards.
• Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Execute daily side work with enthusiasm and motivation.
• Assist in any other task or duties as requested by management.

• Capable of reaching overhead, utilizing both hands, leaning over, stooping and kneeling.
• A plus: At least one year of Meeting and Events experience.
• A must: A social butterfly creating a positive experience for our guests.
