Banquet Captain-Sunda New Asian
Sunda New Asian is seeking a seasoned Banquet Captain. The Banquet Captain plays a supervisory role by directing Banquet Servers to ensure an elevated experience for guests who attend events. Their highest priority will be to support overall profitability and guest satisfaction by ensuring that the Banquets team provides exceptional customer service.
Banquet Captain Responsibilities:
Available to work a variety of hours, days, and shifts, including weekends
- Assist management with planning and execution of all banquet functions
- Communicate all event details and expectations to staff
- Work closely with culinary team to coordinate cooking and presentation for each event
- Be a team player and get along well with others
- Ensure guest experience exceeds expectations and provide excellent level of customer service
- Attend all mandatory meetings as directed by the Sales & Catering Manager
- Lead the team during set up, break down, and delegate responsibilities as necessary
- Follow specific event instructions and timeline including but not limited to checklists, menus, banquet event orders (BEO), floor plans, inventory, and respond quickly to changing priorities
- Ability to multitask, make accurate decisions, and work under pressure while maintaining professionalism
- Ensures that all functions are properly staffed in accordance with the event
- Developing and providing staff with the necessary training, including customer service and serving etiquette
- Execute various styes of service including reception/buffet, seated dinner, etc.
- Monitoring the inventory of supplies, equipment, and furniture
- Tending to guests' requests, questions, and complaints
- Maintains work area clean and free of debris to adhere to health standards
