SalaryKona Kai San Diego Resort is a boutique urban resort located on Shelter Island. With 170 guestrooms, Kona Kai Resort is home to Vessel Restaurant + Bar, SpaTerre, a marina and a private club, all located just minutes from downtown San Diego. We are excited to welcome a new Banquet Bartenderto our island-inspired resort.
As a Banquet Bartender you create, prepare and serve classic cocktails and exciting new beverages. Your friendly, energetic personality will be the face of the bar. You will utilize proper equipment and ingredients, and handle basic cleaning duties. We are looking for new team members to work various shifts, AM, PM, weekends and holidays to service our various groups and special event bookings.

Reports to: Banquet Captain, Banquet Manager & Banquet Director
Requirements:Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent certification.
- 1 year of Previous Banquet experience preferred
- 2 years of Bartending experience in hotels, banquets or events
- Food Handling, RBS Training, & Tips Certifications.
- Fluency in Spanish is a bonus
- Excellent Communication skills.
- This position is on -call, Ability to have a flexible schedule is a must. Open availability Thursday-Sunday - High peek days
- Hours will vary Monday -Sunday, flexibility is required
- Ability to work in variable weather conditions.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to carry or move up to 50lbs
- Attention to detail
- You must engage with our guests by possessing knowledge and understanding of food and beverage menu items.
- You must quickly respond to all guest needs and request.
- Positive, upbeat personality works well on a team, desire to learn, and able to multi-task
