Job Title: Bankruptcy Specialist
Location: Glen Allen, VA- Hybrid
Pay Rate: $20/hr on W2
Duration: 6-month contract with Possible extension
Manager’s Notes:
- Candidates must have Current Bankruptcy experience and need to have tenure on positions. No job hoppers.
- Flexible work within office and home. Must have current Bankruptcy experience within the last 3-4 years. Positions need to reflect Bankruptcy.
Description:
- Monitor loans in Bankruptcy to ensure the debtor is in compliance with the bankruptcy plan and that Bank’s Mortgage adheres to investor, state, federal and bankruptcy court guidelines/timeframes.
- Bankruptcy Specialist works with the Foreclosure, Loss Mitigation, Escrow Analysis, Taxes, and the Insurance department communicating the bankruptcy status.
- They ensure Proof of Claims, Motions for Relief, Payment Change Notices, Post Petition Fees, and Costs are prepared by counsel, are accurate and all aspects of the bankruptcy are handled according to investor guidelines and timeframes.
- They are the first point of contact for bankruptcy attorney and customers in bankruptcy.
- The Bankruptcy Specialist II ensures that Bank abides by all state and federal bankruptcy rules/laws.
- They ensure that Bank is not sanctioned by any states or federal organizations for failure to maintain bankruptcy timeframes.
- Candidate must have at least three consecutive years of Bankruptcy experience, in all chapters and processes.
