Responsibilities
The Banking Product Junior Auditor, will be part of the GLBA (Global Banking and Advisor) Transversal Audit Team. GLBA activity includes Investment Banking, Asset Finance, Natural Resources and Infrastructure, Asset Backed Products and Syndication. The group works closely with the Credit Risk Review Team. The role has three primary focus areas: i) the GLBA businesses from Front to Back in the Americas; ii) the Operational Risks teams supporting the GLBA activities, and iii) Compliance to applicable regulations related to these businesses.
The Auditor is expected to participate in audits across various business lines and support functions within the Americas regions. The Analyst's primary responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
Working independently and responsibly on assigned tasks
Actively participating in all stages of the audit process: planning and diagnostic, testing, report drafting, and recommendation follow-up
Effectively communicating with auditees, developing a good relationship and timely escalating when there is an issue
Analyzing assigned business processes, procedures, risks; and evaluating the internal controls, and adopting a risk-based approach using analytics, as applicable.
Preparing high quality workpapers that support the findings and conclusions
Anticipating, understanding and escalating issues appropriately for timely resolution
Actively participating in the Risk Assessment Process for the perimeter covered and in continuous monitoring.
Participating in department wide transformation projects, actively contributing to the changes and demonstrating readiness and willingness to apply the changes

DIVISION DESCRIPTION:
The Audit Division (IGAD) represents Societe Generale's independent internal audit function, comprised of over 1,200 professionals covering Societe Generale's global business and services in over 150 countries. The SGUS Audit Department (SGIAA) within IGAD is a group of about 70 professionals with diverse backgrounds and subject matter expertise based in the US, Bangalore, and Brazil, responsible for Societe Generale's businesses in the Americas region. Constituting the third line of defense, IGAD conducts independent audits of operational entities in an objective, thorough and impartial manner in line with professional standards. IGAD assesses the compliance of the Group's operations, the effective level of risk exposure and management, the adequate enforcement of procedures and the effectiveness and relevance of the permanent control set-up.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Must Have:
Basic understanding of banking and Banking Products, financial services and industry
Knowledge and/or familiarity with some of the following audit types: General Controls Reviews, Integrated audits, pre-implementation reviews
Familiarity with Risk Management best practices and how they apply in the Financial Services Industry
Familiarity with rules and regulations applicable to Banking businesses.
Knowledge of data analytics techniques
Highly motivated and committed to lead and progress
Demonstrates curiosity, motivation, enthusiasm for learning and self-development
Demonstrates strong prioritization, organizational and time management skills; able to meet all deadlines and proactively seek guidance when needed
Demonstrates openness to new ideas and suggestions and proposes new ideas and enhancements
Nice to Have:
Desire to pursue a relevant certification (CIA, FRM, CFA)
Languages (Other than English): French
Education/Prior Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics or on a quantitative field like Engineering or Mathematics
Experience working in Audit
Relevant professional experience or coursework

COMPENSATION & SALARY RANGE:
Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience.
