The Deposit Operations Specialist provides back office support for deposit accounts by verifying the input on all new and revised DDA, Savings, CD, IRA, and Safe Deposit Box accounts for accuracy as well as CIF input, and ensuring all stop payments are placed.
- Responsible for adhering to operational controls, including applicable laws, rules and regulations such as the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Office of Foreign Assets Controls (OFAC), NACHA Rules, Regulation E, Regulation J and Uniform Commercial Code (UCC).
- Responsible for verifying the input on new and revised accounts for DDA, Savings, CDs, IRAs, and Safe Deposit Box accounts.
- Responsible for levies, garnishments, and subpoenas.
- Verifies all maintenance on DDA, Savings, CD, IRA, Safe Deposit Box accounts.
- Verifies address changes for applications including loans.
- Verifies daily OFAC reports.
- Verifies the signature cards on Synergy.
- Verifies the stop payments are placed/changed.
- Scans and indexes daily work and stop payments.
- Assists other representatives and departments when needed.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- A minimum of one year to two years bank experience required.
- High school graduate or equivalent, college preferred.
- Proficient with computers, email, internet software, etc.
- Ability to type 40-50 WPM and ten-key by touch.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to professionally communicate at all levels within the organization, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-task, high volume environment.
- Attentive to details and able to identify high risk situations.
- Familiarity with NACHA Rules, Regulation CC, Regulation DD, Regulation E, Regulation J, Regulation P, UCC and Federal and State Regulations.
