Bank Teller

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Bank Teller to join our team. As a Bank Teller, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and assisting with various banking operations. The ideal candidate will have exceptional attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional service to our customers.

Bank Teller Job Requirements and Responsibilities:

• Serves customers by completing account transactions.
• Provides account services to customers by receiving deposits and loan payments, cashing checks, account withdrawals, closing accounts, issuing cashier’s checks, and recording night and mail deposits.
• Answers questions in person or on telephone and refers customers to other bank services as necessary.
• Records transactions by logging cashier’s checks and other special services and preparing currency transaction reports.
• Cross-sells bank products by answering inquiries, informing customers of new services and product promotions and ascertaining customers’ needs.
• Reconciles cash drawer by proving cash transactions, counting, and packaging currency and coins.
• Maintains supply of cash and currency and turns in excess cash and mutilated currency to vault.
• Complies with bank operations and security policies and procedures by participating in all dual-control functions and assisting in branch certification.
• Complies with bank BSA and AML policies.
• Processing wire transfers including system input and balancing.
• Maintain customer confidence and protects bank operations by keeping information confidential.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Process branch captures daily to ensure all transactions are scanned and submitted to item processing.
• Cross-training in new accounts and other branch operations areas.
• Assisting branch operations officer in special projects and other assignments as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Customer service and cash handling experience
• PC proficient with familiarity with banking software
• Attention to details
• Ability to work well with others and be a team player
• Bilingual in Mandarin or Cantonese preferred

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
