Ballroom Dance Chicago is thrilled to announce the expansion of our team! While we have become known for preparing couples for the first dance at their wedding, we also work extensively with individuals and couples interested in learning to dance socially in Ballroom, Latin, and Swing dances.
We are actively seeking enthusiastic individuals for the role of Dance Instructor.
Your Role at Ballroom Dance Chicago:
As an outgoing and customer-oriented Dance Instructor, you'll lead both Private and Group Dance Classes, sharing your passion for dance with a diverse range of students.
You will be integral in guiding students to achieve their individual and personal dance goals. This might range from a first dance, to a new experience with their partner, to competitions! Working with individuals from various backgrounds, you'll play a vital role in enriching their lives through dance, while also experiencing personal and professional growth.
As a small, independent studio, we utilize all our staff members strengths’ to improve the studio. Whether you are skilled at writing, capturing ideas, building out processes, social media, or more, your interests and skills will be amplified in our team environment.
Who We Are:
Don’t be fooled by our name. While we are a “dance studio” and we teach people to move and perform steps together, we understand that what we do goes far beyond just relaying information about physicality and spatial relationships. Our main goal is to bring people together: through movement, through being warm, welcoming, kind people, and through offering people an experience that they don’t readily have access to in any other part of their lives.

Requirements for Successful Candidates:
2+ Years of prior experience teaching Ballroom, Latin, and Swing dance.
Passionate and self-driven with a deep love for dance.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Commitment to personal and professional growth.
A positive, team-oriented attitude.
A keen eye for detail.
Ability to work with a diverse group of learners.
Ability to communicate effectively and with kindness.

More Details:
- Pay is based on experience.
- Not included in the salary is up to $20,000 in annual bonuses.
- 3 times a week, you will be teaching at our Lakeview studio.
- 2 times a week, you will be teaching at our West Loop studio.
- Tuesday through Friday: 2pm (ish) until 10pm (ish). Saturday 11am (ish) until 5pm (ish). Closed Sunday & Monday.
