Job Title: Bakery Sanitation/Clean-up
FLSA Status: Hourly
Reports To: Bakery Manager
Cleans the department in an effort to exhibit a clean store to our guests as well as to create a clean and safe work environment for other bakery associates.
Creativity in the form of food is the name of the game in our Bakery; Festival’s bakery associates are here to enhance the special moments and occasions in our guest’s lives by providing a fun & fresh bakery assortment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cleans all areas of the bakery department to include:
- Emptying garbage
- Washing dishes
- Cleaning and sanitizing equipment and surfaces, such as ovens, dishwasher, mixers, racks, tables, counter tops, etc.
- Sweeping and mopping the floor
- Provides excellent services to all guests
- Assists guests with finding items they are looking for
- Takes orders for cakes and other special requests
- Packages and prices items from the service case
- Answers the telephone and assists guests using proper phone etiquette
- Required to maintain food safety logs
- Ensures all quality standards are being met, including quantity expectations at 100% by 10 am and 5 pm
- Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences
- Other duties as assigned

- Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with guests and all personnel

- Standing for extended periods of time (80% of time)
- Lifting up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis (30% of time)
- Frequently near moving machinery (70% of time)

WORK SCHEDULE
The Bakery Sanitation/Clean-up is an hourly position. The work schedule will generally include evenings and weekends, with the flexibility to work other shifts and holidays as needed.
